Recently I attended the wedding of my neice.  I managed to catch this shot later in the evening and thought it very relaxed and fitting that grandmother and granddaughter should share a special moment in time together on such a beautiful day.  Enjoy, cherish your special moments with the generations before you and keep making art!

This can be found in the Galisano Children’s Museum in Naples, Florida. You find it on the inside of a small circular “road” lined with corn stalks. The kids loved it. I loved the centerpiece. I hope you do too. Enjoy, hope you are on the road to your “self” and keep making art!

I was just cleaning up my paints the other day when my son, aged 6, joined me and wanted to paint too. As I was low on watercolour paper we decided to use what was available. We went through the papers that had originally been set out to catch stray water and paint and found a few interesting pages to paint! We hope you enjoy our results! You can make art anywhere with anything..just keep making it.

This was an awesome experience and I look forward to sharing my art with other families in the future!!   We even wore home made tye-dye shirts which the children kept for future art projects!!  I hope you have enjoyed this little trip through the creation of the work you have just viewed.  I know I did!   Always think of new ways to keep making art!!

Some of you may think I am saying goodbye to you but I am not.  Anyone who has been following my blog for over 5 or 6 weeks knows I had completed a painting with a family with whom I had worked for about  year.  We completed the painting during our final meeting just before I moved to Newfoundland.  As promised just after that meeting, here are some of the photographs of the work completed that day by this wonderfully creative family.  I will post more over the next few days.  I hope the family now has this piece hanging proudly in their home as their efforts to work together in creating it need to be celebrated every day!  Enjoy, think about sharing your talents with others in creative ways and keep making art!!

Moving Day

We are getting ready to move from the house we’ve lived in for almost 9 years to a new place (rented for now) in Newfoundland.  Our house is still unsold, ergo the rented house, and we are hopeful it sells soon, but alas, we had to go.  Farewell to Fredericton and hello to St. John’s, Newfoundland!  Starting a new job on September 10…lots of new things but it is where I was born and raised and as so many of us often do…it is time to go home.  Enjoy your day and keep making art!!!
