Driving around Marco Island, Florida, I have been captured by the beauty, and variety, of the palm tree. The Pineapple Palm in particular is one I really love and I found one just down the street from where we are staying. We drove past it twice and it stayed in my mind’s eye. As soon as I arrived back to the house at the end of the day, I drew this! Hope you enjoy and keep making art!

I was just cleaning up my paints the other day when my son, aged 6, joined me and wanted to paint too. As I was low on watercolour paper we decided to use what was available. We went through the papers that had originally been set out to catch stray water and paint and found a few interesting pages to paint! We hope you enjoy our results! You can make art anywhere with anything..just keep making it.

Sunset?

The other night we were finished supper early enough to head down to the beach to watch the sunset. Instead, it was a little foggy and our sunset soon disappeared in the fog. I have seen many sunsets here on Marco Island and with the help of watercolours created a sunset of my own…or did I? Enjoy, feel the sunset in your part of the world and keep making art.

This was inspired by the photography on the cover of a real estate magazine. I don’t know the photographer but loved the image and made a few changes to make it my own…almost impossibe not to do with watercolours anyway. Enjoy, visit Marco Island and keep making art!
