What a Trip!!!

A quick watercolour before the choirs sang..Copyright 2012 Lorelei Walsh Park

Hello my friends!  The trip was stupendous and I am thrilled to say some of my posts were placed on the International Choral Bulletin…very cool.  Am a  little jet lagged today but was thrilled to see my kids and my husband last evening at the airport.  After 23 hours awake..it was lovely to sleep in my own bed again.  I am posting a little watercolour completed whilst on the Kronplatz in Alta Pusteria…it was a quick one and unbeknownst to me…I was surrounded by a throng of people while doing this one.  My sisters and the other choir members were thrilled as well as I sketched them during performances…will post some of that work soon as they are still rough sketches completed in less that 10 minutes :0.  Enjoy and keep making art!

Watercolourist Heading to Europe

Standard

Yes…I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going with my sisters to sing in a choir called the Holy Heart Of Mary Alumni Choir based in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Am hopeful I can sing as have been struggling with my allergies and my voice has not been amused, to say the least.  I’ll be over the Atlantic ocean as you read this (in first class seating !!!!) and getting ready for the first stop on our tour (Munich).  From there we are heading to Italia to the Alta Pusteria International Choir Festival and then onward from there we head to Austria and will be singing at the palace in Vienna on Canada Day.  So my friends, I have done as I have in the past and prepared some scheduled posts to keep up with the post a day commitment but also will be posting as I can on the road.  I am hopeful that I can post as I go after each day’s festivities.  I hope you enjoy the posts!  Have a wonderful June and I’ll be back in July!!  I’m sure to have loads of things to post about for the rest of the summer after this experience (I am so excited about the art galleries too!!!!), in the interim, get ready to make music and keep making art!
