So, here I am again. I was listening to Hey Rosetta today, their song “Carry Me Home” hits home this year as I am not home…again, like I have been for about 20 years but what makes this year different is that last year…I was home and I actually went to see Hey Rosetta play and heard them sing that song. I have begun to realize though, that the year at home was not a loss, it was a gain. My children and I have even stronger connections than I could have hoped for. Enjoy, remember that being home is a gift you give yourself and, as always, keep making art!

Santa Still In Progress
Well then, this is a Santa that just didn’t get completed in time for Christmas Day. My children love Mary Engelbreit’s illustrated edition of Clement E. Moore’s The Night Before Christmas. They love it so much that I had wanted to try to get a small 12″ by 12″ painting on canvas completed for them so that they could enjoy a little bit of Christmas all year. Unfortunately, I accompanied a family member to the Emergency room on Christmas Eve (she is doing much better now!) and didn’t get to finish it. So, I am posting the piece still in progress, of course with a few minor changes from the original, but trying to keep with the richness of the original illustrations. Enjoy, keep Santa with you all year and keep making art!
