Quidi Vidi Village or “The Gut” as it is also called is an “outport” within the city of St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada. Way back in the 1800’s I had relatives that lived there. On a recent trip to the island I had the opportunity to take a few photographs of Quidi Vidi. There was quite a bit of fog the day I was there, which, I think, added to the mystery of the place. And for the beer drinkers, this brewery makes some incredible beers if you ever have a chance to get there!

February Pointsettia?
I love these Christmas flowers. When I was growing up my mother always managed to keep them around for long after the Christmas decorations had be stored. This year, I have managed to do the same, with the help of my husband who has lovingly nursed them while I have been working some long hours. I hope you enjoy this February flower and perhaps you can think of something that you would like to nuture along, long after it’s usual season is long completed. Keep making art!
Generations: A Special Moment
Recently I attended the wedding of my neice. I managed to catch this shot later in the evening and thought it very relaxed and fitting that grandmother and granddaughter should share a special moment in time together on such a beautiful day. Enjoy, cherish your special moments with the generations before you and keep making art!
