I was just cleaning up my paints the other day when my son, aged 6, joined me and wanted to paint too. As I was low on watercolour paper we decided to use what was available. We went through the papers that had originally been set out to catch stray water and paint and found a few interesting pages to paint! We hope you enjoy our results! You can make art anywhere with anything..just keep making it.

This is beautiful Ms. Lorelei. Thanks for sharing with us.
Thanks so much Jueseppi!! Always a pleasure to share my art making adventures and always humbled by your decision to share it with your followers. Thank you my friend. Lorelei
You have introduced your son to the natural universe of collage. Excellent job!
Thanks so much! I was thinking that collage was the term to describe this but was unsure. My son really enjoyed the experience as did I. It is something I wil certainly try again:)
this creativity IS unboundingly beautiful !
Thanks so much Deb! We had fun with this. I loved the stories on the page as well, so creative. Your poetic descriptions never cease to amaze me:)
Very fun. Beautiful.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog and for your great comment! It was a lot of fun and something I will certainly do again:)
This is so beautiful… I loved it. Thanks and Love, nia
Thank you nia, you were on my mind as I remembered your fantastic painted book pages. I hope to see more of those as well:)
How creative is this. I mean we go around saying we don’t have anything to paint/draw/make art with…when a lot of times we really are surrounded by artistic opportunities everyday ! Pretty flower : )
Thank you so very much for your awesome comment. It is so true that we often say we can’t make art for various reasons but really, if you want to do it, you’ll find a way and be inventive about it! We had fun together with this one and I’m thrilled you dropped by, commented and loved our flower:)
This is great! I agree with your last point too – it’s about taking the opportunity and allowing the creativity to run with what you have – any limitations you might have can only produce creativity in another direction!
Thanks David! Exactly right, you just have to run with it and use what you have. Not every piece of art needs to be frame and gallery worthy. I don’t think I’d ever do anything with art if I felt each piece had to be framed and displayed. Once I get started with something in the creative realm, I never know where my end point will be, that’s the beauty of it.
Love it! My 5 year old daughter is such a creative artist and paints away on so many surfaces. I invite you to check out my blog of kid’s projects etc. and there is art in there too 🙂
Take good care!
