Here it is. I was happy with it considering I was working for a very small Blackberry screen. The last time I was in Lark Harbour I took loads of photographs of these little boats. My son was only 2 then and he is now almost 6 years old. I hadn’t started painting again at that point but as I look back, I can see that I was gathering source material even then. In Newfoundland and Labrador, the little fishing boat is called a dory and the boats from Lark Harbour are particularly fabulous ones! Oh and by the way, Lark Harbour and its nearby Bottle Cove are one of this world’s best kept secrets. Perhaps you’ll find out more about it now and perhaps even visit this lovely little town nestled in the Bay of Islands on the west coast of Newfoundland and Labrador. Enjoy, I can’t wait to go home and keep making art!
